Before Your Session:
You will meet with head photographer, Rebecca McBrearty. At this time, we will select a time and location for your session. You will have an opportunity to view samples of types of papers and finishes for your pictures to be printed. We will also discuss what is most important to you (i.e. images of your twins together or individually, posed vs. nonposed).
What to Wear:
Keep your clothing simple. You’ll want to wear solid, dark colors, or simple patterns. Avoid white (especially bright white tights), logos and complex patterns as they can be quite distracting. Large bows or barrettes are not flattering. Infants should not be put in adult clothing; jeans and tuxedos do not look cute on an infant. You may bring a couple of different outfits, if you have any questions or doubts or simply want a change in outfit.
Hair & Makeup:
Keep it simple and how you normally wear it. Put special emphasis on the eyes and lips.
Children:
Schedule your photo shoot on a day you don't have a lot going on so you and your children will be relaxed and rested. Children are usually best right after nap time. It is a good idea to bring a favorite toy or snack, if it is that time of day.
Expectations:
If you have specific requests for your portraits, let the photographer know what those are (e.g. make sure you get a picture of just Mom and son). A photo session for an child is typically 45 minutes to an hour and half, expect up to two hours for an infant shoot due to multiple clothes changes, feedings, etc., a good family session is about an hour. You will receive a private online viewing of your photos within a week from the session.
